Guidance Counselor
I received my Bachelors Degree from Illinois State University and my Masters in Counseling from Northern Illinois University. I taught Junior High/High School Mathematics for 8 years at Leland High School and have been a guidance counselor for 13 years. This will be my 7th year at PHS. I enjoy working with students to help them successful in the classroom, plan their 4 years at PHS and plan for their post secondary training beyond high school. I will be counseling and advising all students with the last names M through Z. I am in charge of PSAE/ACT testing, PSAT testing, organizing scholarships, and career development. I look forward to seeing you this school year.
Social Worker: Last Names A-L
I received my Bachelors Degree in Social Work from University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. I received my Masters in Social Work with a concentration in School Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago. This will be my first year at PHS. I enjoy working with students to address any social/emotional concerns so that they are able to be as successful as possible in the school environment. I work with the back half of the alphabet (M-Z), any ISP and LSP students (regardless of alphabet), and all AP students (regardless of alphabet). I am in charge of BELLAS as well as helping with Transformers. I look forward to working with you this school year!
